The European Health Centre

Welcome to TEHC The European Health Centre (Tenerife, Playa de Las Américas, Costa Adeje), formerly known as the British Surgery. The British Surgery was founded in 2008 by British Doctor James Harris who ran the practice together with his associate Doctor Basma Basma.

In 2010 Doctor Harris went back to England, the surgery went under new administration, with Doctor Basma Basma taking over the role of Medical Director and the British Surgery became TEHC The European Health Centre. Since 2020 with Dr Velazquez as General Practice with all the experience of a Surgeon as he is, and a new Directon team.

As of recently, TEHC is not only a one day care Medical Facility, but also a Beauty and Massage Centre.

As a MEDICAL PRACTICE TEHC is your GP abroad. We do general consultations, treat various medical conditions, perform general checkups, recommend prescription drugs, offer health care advice, perform diagnosis and refer the patient to the consultant specialist when necessary.

Located in Playa De Las Américas Costa Adeje - opposite Santander Bank, next to Hotel Las Palmeras - the clinic is easily accessible by walking, by car (small car park available at the surgery) or public transport.

The practice´s premise has access routes and amenities suitable for patients using wheelchairs or walking aids.

At TEHC the main language is English, but the multilingual team also speaks Spanish, Italian, French and German.
